He dressed to impress Daisy--very dapper and high-end. He had a man buy all his clothes in England, and send a selection over every spring and fall for him to choose from. He had so many shirts of sheer linen, thick silk, and fine flannel that when he was showing them to Daisy they made a "heap". He once wore a caramel colored suit, silver shirt, and gold tie.
