Is the midterm democrat slogan really, "They suck worse than we do"?

Why is NO democrat running on their record, they are not campaigning with slogans like, "I voted for health care" or "I voted for the stimulus". All I hear is slam your opponent tactics. Is this all the democrats have, to point fingers and name call. I understand that to an extent, this goes both ways, but Obama said Boehner's name the other day eight times in less than two minutes, do democrats really need to demonize someone to prop themselves up?
